It is only a few meters away from one of the best sandy beaches in North Crete! Just 10 minutes away from Rethymno town, 35 minutes away from the town of Chania and 1.5 km outside the old traditional village of Episkopi, where you can find all kinds of shops and restaurants. We believe that the location makes the difference in our villas and in your holidays!
Villa “Pirgos” and villa “Avra” are two semi-detached villas in a 1,500 m² area. Each villa has its own private 32 m² swimming pool, private gardens and BBQ.
Although both villas are in the same area, we took good care of your privacy! The only part that you have to share with the other house is the parking area.
Description of Villa Pirgos
Villa Pirgos is a 145 m² villa which can accommodate 8 people in beds and up to 10 people if it is necessary. The villa is a two story building with 4 bedrooms, comfortable indoor areas for 10 people and an amazing pool area!
On the ground floor which leads you to the exterior area and the pool, you will find an open plan living / dining room with a fireplace, a seating area with a satellite TV, home-cinema and a dining table. There is also a well equipped small kitchen next to the living / dining room. Only one bedroom with one double bed and a private bathroom is situated on the ground floor.
The rest of the bedrooms are on the first floor. Two with 2 single beds and one with 3 single beds. Two of the bedrooms are separated by one door, which is suitable for family with children! All the bedrooms contains private bathroom with shower/WC and air-condition.
The outdoor area has a garden and private swimming pool area with panoramic sea view! It is a perfect spot to spend your day with different ways such as swimming at pool, enjoying coffee in the garden and simply relaxing on the hammock. There is also a fenced area away from the pool which children can play around.

In a distance of 7 km from the villas, in the way to Chania, is Georgioupoli village. Formerly a small fishing village, Georgioupolis is very much a tourist town now with many cafés, tavernas and small hotels and apartment blocks.
It is built on a 260 m altitude on the foot of Azonas hill and it has view on the lush green and flourishing valley of Mouselas River, whose 10 rich springs are 50 meters underneath the village.
In a distance of 10 km from the villas is the only natural freshwater lake in Crete, Kournas Lake was known as Lake Koressia in antiquity but later took its current name from the Arabic word for lake.

Our villas are in one of the best locations for vacation in the whole Crete and we can assure you of that! In only 300 m away from the front of the villas, you can find the one of the best sandy beaches of the North coast, the beach Episkopi, which is 10 km long and was named after the village (Episkopi), which is only 1.5 km away from our villas.
The village of Episkopi has shops, traditional taverns, cafes and some supermarkets for your supplies.
According to the location, you can visit Rethymno city in less than 10 min drive or Chania city which is about 30 min away!

The sandy beach of Episkopi which is just 300 m away from the villa. The sea in this area is regarded to be the cleanest and most beautiful on the North coast. Even in the high summer season, you can easily find a secluded spot on your own or a strip with sun beds and parasols, if that is what you prefer. There are several taverns and beach bars directly on the beach which they all are very popular to the locals and they are quite lively during the week-ends.
The sandy beach of Georgioupoli is 8 km away. The long sandy organised beach of Rethymno is 15 km away. The beach of Rethymno is very well organised with umbrellas, lifeguards, changing rooms, showers, bars, etc. It is very popular for its infrastructure of the water sports and beach sports as well. In addition, you can also find quiet areas with shallow water which would be a perfect for enjoying the sea with children. Crete is a magical island filled with myth and legend, a place to relax the ideal choice for all the family.

The 9 km beach is the main attraction of the area, with Kalyvaki beach on the other side of the river as well.
